Introduction to Guitar with Francesco Stabile

Dates: Three sessions are available on Tuesdays: Course A: June 14 - July 5 at 1 PM, Course B: June 21 - July 12 at 2 PM , Course C: June 28 - July 19 at 3 PM. Each class will have no more than 3 students, and will last one hour. Private lessons are also available for all levels and ages beginning June 14. Times will be arranged based on the student's schedule on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Contact Francesco Stabile to arrange times for private lessons.

Ages for introductory classes: ages 9 and up

Class Description: This introduction to guitar is for people who always wnated to get close to the guitar and music world. It's an introductory course to the full course which will start in September. It will focus on learning the basic chords, the right position for both hands, tuning your guitar, changing strings, and taking care of your instrument. After 4 weeks, each student will be able to play at least one complete song. Class size is limited to 3 students. Private lessons are also available at $70 per hour, with discounts for multiple lessons. Each lesson is one hour. Lessons are available for Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced students of all ages. Please note it is Farmstead Arts policy that a parent or guardian of any student under age 12 remain on the premises during each class.

Cancellation and Refund Policy: A full refund will be issued if cancellation is received prior to the registration deadline for the session. A refund less a $30 fee will be issued for cancellations after the registration deadline before the session starts. Refunds will not be issued after the session start date. Refunds are processed in 4-6 weeks. Full refunds are issued if the session is canceled by Farmstead Arts. Your registration and check may be returned by mail for the following reasons: • the program was cancelled • the program was full • your registration form was not complete, your check was not signed, written for the incorrect amount or not made payable to "Friends of the KMS Farmstead “ In case of the above, your registration and check will be returned to you by mail with a letter of explanation.

About the Teacher: Francesco Stabile is a guitarist and an international musician born in Italy now living in New York. He has more than 15 years of experience as a musician and teacher in Europe and America. Francesco has performed in the most famous Blues and Jazz festivals in Europe, as a leader and sideman, with great public success and critical acclaim. A musician of great musical versatility, he enjoys performing in a wide variety of different genres from classical to jazz and blues. He is fluent in both English and Italian and also teaches Italian. He teaches, composes music and performs in New York City and the surrounding area, including a recent performance at Lincoln Center. He has an excellent knowledge of the different possibilities related to the guitar world, and is dedicated to teaching the wonderful world of music and guitar.
